Discount campaigns Free

Run a scheduled percentage or fixed-amount discount across products or categories, with the saving shown to the shopper.

Updated August 26, 2026

A campaign is a rule that changes a price: a percentage off, a fixed amount off, or a fixed final price, applied to the products or categories you choose, optionally between two dates.

Run as many campaigns at once as your shop needs — the free edition does not cap them. What Pro adds is the shapes a campaign can take: tiered, volume and bundle pricing, cart-spend discounts and gifts.

Creating one

Praetor → Discounts → Add campaign. Choose what it targets, what it does, and when it runs. Save it as a draft while you work; a draft never affects a shopper.

What the shopper sees

The original price struck through, the new price, and the amount saved. The struck-through price also has a screen-reader equivalent, so the change is not carried by visual styling alone.

Scheduling

A schedule is stored with the timezone it was created in. Campaigns also check their own window on every price they are asked about, so a missed scheduled task can never leave an expired discount running.

When more than one rule could apply

Each campaign chooses how it combines with others:

  • Priority first — the highest-priority matching campaign wins. This is the default.
  • Best price — whichever campaign saves the customer the most.
  • Exclusive — this campaign applies and no other may.
  • Stack — compatible campaigns apply in order.

It matters the moment you have two campaigns that could both apply to the same product, which is why it is asked up front rather than invented later.

Why is this product not discounted?

Praetor → Diagnostics → Explain price takes a product, a customer or role, a quantity and a date, and shows every stage of the calculation — including the campaigns that were considered and the reason each one did not apply.
